Yellow Summer Flower

Not a sunflower, but a summer flower in Utah. Found as a weed in so many parts, it is a faux sunflower in my book. These seem to pop up everywhere.
So, what reminds you of summer? For me, it is a bbq, a walk along a river or creek, a late in the evening sunset, watermelon, hot dogs, the smell of recently mowed grass, the smell of an approaching rainstorm.
Why do we equate summer experiences to those we had as children? I sure do. School was out, the days were longer, there was a more carefree approach to life… I long for the days when I captured fireflies in jars, stayed up past my bedtime, listened to the crickets, and swatted at mosquitos. My summer glory days were in the south, and I have such a great fondness for those memories.
What are your favorite summer memories?
